2010 SWCD SUPERVISOR ELECTIONS
Anyone concerned about environmental issues in Steele County should consider filing in July to run for the position of supervisor of the Districts I and III at General Election to be held in November.
Serving as a supervisor is a terrific opportunity for people who want a voice in how we use our environment.  SWCDs are special purpose local units of government that manage and direct conservation programs.

Please call the conservation office at 507-451-6730 X3, if you have any questions about conservation issues or are interested in filing for the positions that are open.

The following townships will be open for representation in 2010.
- District III representing the City of Owatonna (incumbent Kyle Wolfe)
- District I representing City of Medford and the townships of Deerfield,
Clinton Falls, Medford and Merton (incumbent Mark Ihlenfeld)
