Learn About Improving Habitat for the Rusty Patch Bumble Bee at Upcoming Webinar

Join the Cannon River Watershed Joint Powers Organization as they host the first session of the 2025-2026 virtual learning series “Land to Lake Lectures.” Once common across the Upper Midwest, the Rusty Patch Bumble Bee has declined by nearly 90% in the past 20 years. Sami Dolan from the University of Minnesota will share why the Rusty Patch has declined, what makes it unique, and the habitat needs critical for its recovery. Funding opportunities available for planting native will also be discussed. The free webinar will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 12:00 pm over the lunch hour. Register for the webinar at https://z.umn.edu/BuzzingBack. The webinar will be video recorded and posted on the CRWJPO’s website at https://www.cannonriverwatershedmn.gov afterward for those who cannot attend.
